Setsubun
Setsubun is the day before the start of spring (according to the lunar calendar), termed
risshun
which usually falls on February third or thereabouts.
In the evening of this day, Japanese do '
mame-maki
(bean throwing) ' at their homes to drive away evil spirits.
" Out with the devil! "
" In with luck! "
*GREAT FORTUNE*
